This course continues to build on lessons learned in Conversational American Sign Language (ASL) Level 4. With a special focus on interpreting in the medical field, this class expands the knowledge of mapping as well as shape, placement and movement of the hands, facial expressions and body movements, all of which play important parts in conveying information. Students continue to broaden their vocabulary and improve their grammar all while engaging in a deeper study into the vibrancy of the Deaf community. Lessons in this course build on each other in a way that allows students to see immediate progress.
